If you’re a recent college graduate looking for an opportunity to serve the needy in Wilmington, the CapCorps might be for you.
The CapCorps Stigmata Volunteer Program is sponsored by the Capuchin Franciscan Franciscan Province of the Sacred Stigmata. In Wilmington, five volunteers are needed to work for the Ministry of Caring, the organization that provides social services such as shelter, medical care, food and job placement to the less fortunate in and around the city. There were two CapCorps volunteers in Wilmington this past year, but they were placed by a different province, said Marie Keefer, the director of human resources for the Ministry of Caring.
