WILMINGTON – When the torch is lit at the Summer Olympics next month in London, the focus will be on the athletes and their amazing feats of strength, endurance and skill. Television viewers in the United States will be able to see it all thanks to the dedication and endurance of an entirely different set of people, one of whom is a few years removed from graduation from Ursuline Academy.
Rachel Samples, who recently completed her sophomore year at Syracuse University, will intern in England for NBC, which is broadcasting the games. She will be doing typical intern duties – assisting producers, editors, directors and others with all the little things that must be done to ensure a smooth production.
