Italian-made Stations of the Cross have been installed at the Shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Castle, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the dedication of the statue in 2007 by Bishop Michael Saltarelli.
The stations were dedicated and blessed on June 24 by Father John Grimm, pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, home of the shrine, said John Watson, a member of the committee that led the effort to bring the diocese its own statue of Mary. The stations are silver to match the shrine and are encased in cedar, he said.
