Boys head into postseason with busy week to close regular slate

The boys’ regular season is winding down, but this week has many intriguing matchups.

Baseball

St. Elizabeth (9-5) at St. Thomas More (2-7), 4 p.m. The 10th-ranked Vikings start a busy week with a road contest at the Ravens, who also will be in action several times.

Tuesday

Archmere (8-7) at Delaware Military Academy (9-7) 3:45 p.m. The Auks have three tough games remaining and need some wins to qualify for the state tournament. They look to start with a win over the Seahawks.

St. Elizabeth at Salesianum (11-5), 4 p.m. The Vikings look for the season sweep against the sixth-ranked Sals.

St. Thomas More at Delcastle (6-9), 4 p.m.

Thursday

St. Thomas More vs. Howard (5-8), 3:30 p.m. at Frawley Stadium.

Gerstell at Ss. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m.

Indian River (5-10) at Salesianum, 4 p.m. It’s senior day for the Sals.

Sussex Tech (9-6) at St. Mark’s (11-5), 4 p.m. The third-ranked Spartans are getting hot at the right time.

Archmere at Tower Hill (13-2), 4:15 p.m. The Auks look for the road upset of the ninth-ranked Hillers, while Tower Hill has quietly put together a fine season.

Friday

Appoquinimink (14-2) vs. St. Elizabeth, 7 p.m. at Frawley Stadium The Vikings finish the week with a battle vs. the fourth-ranked Jags.

Saturday

Seaford (7-7) at St. Thomas More, 11 am

Cape Henlopen (9-6) at St. Mark’s, 1 p.m. 

 

Lacrosse

Tuesday

Dickinson (1-9) at St. Elizabeth (9-4), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings fight for a state tournament berth, and two wins this week will help.

Caesar Rodney (11-3) at Salesianum (10-3), 6 p.m., Baynard Stadium. The top-ranked Sals host the fifth-ranked Riders as both teams gear up for the postseason.

Wednesday

St. Elizabeth at William Penn (3-11), 3:30 p.m.
