The diocesan Hispanic Ministry Office has announced the following events for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Through Dec. 10, the rosary will be recited each night at 7 at St. Joseph Church, Middletown.
Also, the annual Guadalupe torch run will arrive in Wilmington on Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s, Wilmington, where pilgrims will be welcomed. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a rosary and Mass, as well as a blessing of pilgrims who will run with the torch to Camden, N.J., on Saturday.
On Sunday, pilgrims will process from the Walmart on Centerville Road in Wilmington to nearby St. Catherine of Siena Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. There will be a Mass at 11 a.m., followed by lunch.
That afternoon, at 5 p.m., St. Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury, Md., will host a Mass and fiesta.
6 p.m.: Rosary, Juan Diego play and Mañanitas* at St. Dennis, Galena, Md.
6:30 p.m.: Rosary at St. Paul’s, Wilmington, with Mass at 7 and Mañanitas at 8:30.
6:30 p.m.: Rosary, Mass and Mañanitas, St. John the Apostle, Milford.
7 p.m.: Mass, Juan Diego play, fiesta and Mañanitas at Our Lady of Fatima, New Castle.
7:30 p.m.: Candlelight procession beginning at Wendy’s, rosary, Juan Diego play, Mass and Mañanitas at Holy Angels, Newark.
8 p.m.: Procession, Dance of the Chinelos, Brisas de Guanajuato Band at Holy Spirit, New Castle, followed by Mass and Mañanitas at 10:30.
9:30 p.m.: Mass and Mañanitas at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Roxana.
10 p.m.: Juan Diego play and Mañanitas at Holy Rosary, Claymont.
10 p.m.: Mañanitas at Holy Cross, Dover.
10 p.m.: Rosary at Ss. Peter and Paul, Easton, Md., followed by Mass at 11.
11:55 p.m.: Mass and Mañanitas, St. Francis de Sales, Salisbury, Md.
4 a.m.: Mañanitas at St. Mary Refuge of Sinners, Cambridge, Md., followed by Mass at 5.
5 a.m.: Mañanitas at St. Catherine of Siena, Wilmington.
6 p.m.: Rosary, Mass and Mañanitas at St. John the Apostle, Milford.
6:30 p.m.: Rosary at St. Paul’s, Wilmington, followed by Mass and fiesta at 7.
6:30 p.m.: Procession at Ss. Peter and Paul, Easton, Md., followed by Mass at 7:30.

8 p.m.: Rosary, Mañanitas, folkloric dancing and mariachi at St. Michael the Archangel, Georgetown.
4 p.m.: Procession, fiesta with mariachi at Ss. Peter and Paul, Easton, Md.
* The Spanish word Mañanitas literally means “little morning.” Each year on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Latinos serenade the Blessed Mother with hymns and prayers on what is said to be her birthday.
