The first full week of girls basketball sees a lot of early season showdowns.


Archmere (1-0) at Delaware Military Academy (0-0), 5:15 p.m. The Auks started with a nice home win last week. Now they look for the tough road win against a conference foe.


Archbishop Prendergast (Pa.) at Padua (0-0), 7 p.m. The Pandas open their season at home against a very strong team from Pennsylvania.


Hodgson (0-0) at St. Thomas More (1-0) 4 p.m. The Ravens go into their home opener with a nice road win at Friends last week.

Archmere at St. Mark’s (0-0), 7:15 p.m. The young Spartans start the year at home.


Concord (1-0) at St. Mark’s, 7:15 p.m.


Padua vs. Bishop Ireton (Va.), 11:30 a.m. at St Johns (D.C.)

Archmere at Villa Maria Academy (Pa.), 12:30 p.m.

Urusline (0-0) vs. National Christian Academy (Md.), 12:35 p.m. at Woodrow Wilson (D.C.). The Raiders open their season in the She Got Game Tournament in Washington.

Woodbridge (0-0) at St. Elizabeth (0-0), 2:15 p.m. The Vikings open their season at home looking to start on a good note.
