Catholic Charities, Inc. of the Diocese of Wilmington, a local non-profit organization dedicated to addressing human suffering and providing services to those in need, has received a $20,000 grant from Bank of America (BofA).

The grant will help with homeless prevention, rapid rehousing, food assistance, financial coaching, and outpatient counseling, while improving economic mobility throughout Delaware. Catholic Charities’ programs address key barriers to housing stability and financial security for those in need, while creating access to case management services to promote long-term sustainability.

“Catholic Charities is grateful for the $20,000 grant provided by Bank of America. This award will allow Catholic Charities to provide critical assistance with basic living expenses and counseling to the most vulnerable,” said Samantha Wallace, interim executive director. “We appreciate BofA’s generous support and continued investment in our mission and our community.”

The grant is part of Bank of America’s philanthropic giving efforts in local communities. Awardees were selected for their commitment to address basic needs and work force development for individuals and families.

“Catholic Charities offers comprehensive resources that address the basic needs of our most vulnerable community members to ensure their well-being,” said Chip Rossi, Bank of America Delaware president. “By partnering with Catholic Charities, we support their work toward helping Delawareans access meaningful housing, food assistance, and behavioral health services that will help them to achieve success and long-term stability.”

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington is a faith-based, social services organization, delivering critical direct care human services to over 83,000 individuals and families residing in Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. To learn more about Catholic Charities’ many programs, please visit www.ccwilm.org.
