City of Wilmington Deanery, Knights of Columbus councils celebrate feast of Blessed Michael McGivney Aug. 13 at St. Elizabeth

The City of Wilmington Deanery welcomes people and families to join the celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at St. Elizabeth Church to recognize the annual feast day of Blessed Father Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus.

The Angelus will be prayed at 6 p.m. followed by the rosary. Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 pm. This event is hosted by Monsignor Grant Council, St. Thomas Council and the Knights of Columbus Color Guard.

The Mass will be celebrated for the respect of human life. All priests, deacons and laity, both young and old, are welcome to celebrate.

A reception will follow in Msgr. Grant Hall, sponsored by St. Thomas the Apostle Council.

St. Elizabeth Church is located at 809 S. Broom Street, Wilmington.

The entrance to Monsignor Grant Hall is located on the right side of the church and is handicap accessible.
