With the fall sports finally a memory, all attention turns to the winter competition. Basketball heats up and features the usual pre-holiday tournaments, with some good in-state games mixed in. The wrestling calendar includes two of the area’s biggest tournaments.

The Spartans, meanwhile, do not have a single senior on the roster, but juniors Sophia Messick and Bella Prado give them a good inside-outside combination.
