Yeatman shut the Auks down the first time through the lineup, but the Auks got three hits the second time through. Jocelyn Phillips singled home Annie Penrod in the bottom of the fourth to cut the Conrad lead to 2-1.
Red Wolves catcher Isabelle Troise doubled home a run in the fifth to increase the lead to 3-1. The visitors added another run on a single by Maddi Tiberi for a 4-1 lead in the fifth. Yeatman quieted the Auks’ offense down the rest of the way for the win.
The Auks (4-5) got good pitching from Kayla Murray, who scattered eight hits in seven innings. They host Brandywine on Saturday at 1 pm. The Red Wolves host St Mark’s on Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
