Good evening faculty, staff, proud families, friends, and most imp01iantly my fellow graduates. What a long road it has been. This is big! We did it, all with great pride, great joy, and great force!
It is strange to think we are finally done, no more high school dances, no more spirit week, no more lunches in the cafeteria. I think we all were waiting for this moment to get here, we walked along this journey and are now excited to see and experience what lies ahead. For years, we have been counting down the days, we have talked about graduation like it was the ultimate goal, reflecting on how senior year will fly by. Now, I do not think any of us realized how fast our time here would pass.
Four years that felt so long at the beginning, now feeling as if it went by like a blink of an eye. We woke up early, we tried to study for tests, some of us hoping to just wing it, many of us asking the question, are we going to use this in real life? We may not be using everything we learned, but we will utilize the rigor and determination to complete all the things we started. Saints Peter and Paul teaches you how to finish with grace, with love, with charisma, setting a standard for us to become the best version of ourselves.
At big schools, some students may use the size to hide behind the idea of being a number, not making an effort to stand out. No student is defined as a number at Saints Peter and Paul, every face is remembered, every name is known, everyone is truly given the opportunity to be who they are and to be that well. People rarely remember the achievements and awards that each of us has, but they will remember our character, how we acted towards others, and how we showed love and kindness to those around us.
Everything we do in this life is part of one big journey. In this school, we have been rooted in faith, it has been implemented into our daily lives. But once we go off on our own, it will be our responsibility to continue building that relationship with God. I love thinking about the image of God waiting at our doorstep until we are ready for him, he will accept us for who we are and love us despite the mistakes. But we have to open the door for Him, He will not force it upon us.
Remember to let him and the ones we love into our lives.
Something overlooked at many high schools is the obstacles and adversities each student faces, we truly do not know what each of us has been through, and the efforts we have made to reach this point. Look around at people, the comradery we have built, the spirit that many places may lack. Think about where you have been, what you have done, and who you want to be. Now it is our time, our time to use the gifts and talents we have practiced and refined. Although at times it may not seem we are ready, Saints Peter and Paul has helped us to prepare to take on the world.
Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the random hallway conversations, the friendships, that continuously change us, helping us grow.
Years from now, when we get asked where we came from, I hope all of us will be proud to say Saints Peter and Paul.
This year and all of our time spent here is unforgettable, we are greatly blessed to have been able to walk these halls and be students at this special place.
Congratulations Class of 2026, we did it!
