PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — As temperatures cool and the leaves change color, the Seton Center, a multipurpose center in Princess Anne, Md., operated by Catholic Charities, remains busy with activities throughout October.
Events at the center include visits from the Shore Van on the 10th and 24th; WIC also will be there on the 10th and 24th, as well as the 31st, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance is scheduled to be at the center on Oct. 21st from 10-2. Seton Center is closed daily from noon-1 p.m. for lunch, although the thrift store remains open during that time.
Individuals and families who receive food from the Seton Center are reminded that October is recertification month. The most current documentation is required to recertify. That includes identification, Social Security cards, and all household income and proof of residency.
The food share program will be held on Oct. 24. Those who wish to participate may stop in any time before the 23rd with $5 to sign up. Pantry on the Go will travel to Crisfield, Md., on Oct. 16. Compass Health also will be there.
All month at the thrift store, clothing is $1 each, and all glass is 50 percent off. The store is open Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Oct. 19 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Signups for the Christmas party will be held Oct. 29-30 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Oct. 31 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Nov. 1 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Wishlist items for the center for the month include laundry detergent, dish detergent, drink mixes, packaged snacks and to-go breakfast items. Seton Center is located at 30632 Hampden Ave., Princess Anne, MD 21853. For more information, contact the center at (410) 651-9608.
