Ice cream, popcorn, candy, community help draw a crowd for ‘Movie Night’ at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Wilmington

What better way to wrap up summer than an outdoor movie, popcorn, candy and an ice cream truck alongside a large lawn at a parish campus?

It sounds hard to beat.

And judging by the faces of the youngsters (and those a few years older), it was a big hit Aug. 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish.

More than 300 people showed up for the fun.

Featured film was “Sandlot.”
