Now that we are in the third week of Lent, we may find that the sacrifices or practices we implemented for the season are feeling a little bit challenging. It’s hard not to give in to temptation, or skip the added prayers in our routine. Looking at the bigger picture, maybe life in general is looking frustrating and discouraging. If so, take heart from the words of St. John XXIII:
“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.” — St. John XXIII

Welcome to The Dialog’s Lenten Journey for 2026. Each morning we will bring you a thought to start your day — a passage from scripture, a quote from a saint or faith-filled person, or a suggestion for a work of mercy — along with links to each day’s readings and other Lent-related topics.
Additionally, everyone is invited to return to the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Reconciliation Monday, March 30. Read more about this special day here:
