The annual “Spirituality Day” to kick off the new school season opened with Bishop Koenig and numerous concelebrants offering Mass Aug. 21 at Saint Mark’s High School.
About 550 educators were in attendance.
Numerous Catholic school teachers were recognized for milestone anniversaries, including two who each have 50 years of service.
After registration, refreshments and a welcome from schools superintendent Lou De Angelo, the bishop celebrated Mass for Catholic school educators in the school auditorium.
A keynote address was delivered by Father Brian Lewis, pastor of St. Jude parish in Lewes.
