WILMINGTON — The Office of Catholic Youth Ministry and its sports program have begun a partnership with “Team Sideline” to host all scheduling for the Diocese of Wilmington’s athletic competitions through the 2025-26 season.

The partnership was effective beginning Jan. 6.

According to the CYM office, Team Sideline provides management software for various sports organizations for registration, team building, schedules, communications, web content management and more. The program is used by more than a dozen Catholic Youth Organizations across the country, the CYM office said.

The move to Team Sideline will allow access to schedules for administrators, volunteers and parents in real time, the office said.

“It was imperative and a necessary step to secure a league manager partner for the future growth of our program,” said Don Tees, the CYM sports coordinator, in a statement. “This will assist us in the growing demands of administrating for a youth sports program.”

A large portion of time goes toward building schedules, Tees said, and using Team Sideline will free up some of that time to build programs instead.

The CYM sports program sponsors more than 3,000 in 11 sports annually. More than 8,000 students, administrators, coaches and volunteers are involved, the CYM office said.
