A full slate of games, meets and matches await the Catholic schools this week. In basketball, teams are angling for postseason berths and seeding, while wrestling’s dual-team championships are coming up this weekend.

When these teams met at St. Mark’s on Jan. 10, the game went into overtime before the Spartans emerged with the 60-53 win. Eric Ludman led the Spartans with 18, while Justin Money paced the Vikings with 22.

Thursday

St. Andrew’s (10-3) at St. Thomas More, 5:30 p.m. St. Thomas More is looking to make a push for the playoffs, and this week they have two very good opponents on the schedule. It begins at home against St. Andrew’s, which has quietly put together a double-digit win season.

Caravel (9-4) at Archmere, 6:15 p.m. The Buccaneers travel north to face the Auks in a battle of two teams that look headed for the postseason. Archmere returned to the win column last week after two losses.

Friday

Cristo Rey Jesuit at Ss. Peter and Paul, 5:30 p.m.

St. Mark’s at Salesianum, 8 p.m. at the 76ers Fieldhouse. The old rivals team up for a good cause at the new home of the Delaware Blue Coats. All proceeds from this game, part of the SL24 Memorial Classic – will benefit the UnLocke the Light Foundation, created in memory of the late former Spartan, Sean Locke. On the court, the Spartans will need to find a way to slow down the Sals, while Salesianum likes to push the pace.
