Atlanta priest Father Joseph Morris to present Gospel of Mark at Holy Cross Parish

Father Joseph Morris

Father Joseph Morris, a priest at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Atlanta, will be presenting the Gospel of Mark live at Holy Cross Church in Dover on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the parish hall.

“Mark’s Gospel Live: A First Century Story of Love and Healing” is a one-man production. It is not simply a retelling of the gospel, according to Holy Cross Parish, but “action-paced storytelling with many voices and movements lasting just under two hours.” It took the priest four months to memorize the 15,000 words in the Gospel of Mark and to research as many commentaries as possible.

The program is open to the public. There is no charge, but free-will donations will be accepted on behalf of Father Morris. Holy Cross Parish is located at 631 S. State St., Dover. For more information, contact the parish at (302) 674-5787.
