St. Mark’s senior finds inspiration, vocation in older sister

WILMINGTON — One never knows where he or she will find the thing that motivates him or her, that sets the course of one’s life.

For St. Mark’s High School senior Michael Robinette, all the inspiration he needs is at his Hockessin home. His sister Christina, three years his senior, has cerebral palsy, and starting out trying to help her, he has found what he hopes will be his life’s path. Read more »

New Spartans Get Connected

St. Mark’s High School freshmen meet up during the summer before school officially begins

MILLTOWN — High school can be an intimidating experience, particularly for freshmen coming in from various middle schools. But at St. Mark’s, the members of the Class of 2021 are already old friends.

Nearly all of the incoming students have met each other through the school’s annual Get Connected program, which takes a few days out of the summer to bring everyone together. Valerie Wright, an English teacher and sophomore class moderator, said Get Connected started in 2012 and has been a big hit. Read more »

Steve Watson returns to St. Mark’s, encourages students to chase dreams

WILMINGTON — During the early years of St. Mark’s High School, Steve Watson helped lead the Spartans to back-to-back state football championships. He went on to a nine-year career in the National Football League, playing in two Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos. Read more »
