The Little Sisters of the Poor, a nursing home which serves low-income seniors located at 185 Salem Church Road in Newark, is seeking volunteers. Flexible schedule available: Volunteer once a month, once a week, or more. Help is needed with breakfast, lunch or dinner, driving to medical appointments, kitchen prep work, folding laundry, cleaning the chapel, photography, and more. Volunteers Needed to Assist Military Veterans 

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is seeking interested individuals to serve as drivers to transport area veterans to and from their homes and medical appointments at the Elsmere VA Hospital or other medical facilities in the greater Wilmington area.  The base of operations for this volunteer activity is the DAV office at the Elsmere VA Hospital.  Vehicles (small passenger vans) are provided by the VA and DAV.  Flexible schedules are available.
