Saint Mark’s boys basketball remains unbeaten after decisive win: Photo gallery

WILMINGTON — Saint Mark’s boys basketball team traveled to Wilmington Charter on Dec. 14, and the Spartans kept their winning ways going with a 72-29 win over the Force.

Six different Spartans scored in the first quarter, when they scored 26 points. Christian Taylor got the scoring started 30 seconds in, powering down low for a short jumper. Saint Mark’s used its significant rebounding advantage to get second, third and fourth chances, and they made the most of their opportunities.

Ten players scored for the Spartans. Alassan N’Diaye and Jorden Jones each had 14 to lead the way, and Tariq Warner joined them in double figures with 11. Saint Mark’s improved to 4-0 and will take on West Philadelphia (Pa.) on Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at Mount Pleasant High School as part of the Urban Youth Showcase.

 

No statistics were available for Charter, who fell to 1-2. The Force are back in action tonight at 6 p.m. against Odyssey Charter in the Red Lion Holiday Tournament at Red Lion Holiday Tournament.
