SCRANTON, Pa. – Sister Kathleen Theresa O’Dea, an Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister formerly known as Sister Mary Martin, died July 2 at Regional Hospital in Scranton, Pa. She was 80.
Sister Kathleen was the principal at St. Matthew’s School in Wilmington from 1976-82. She was also a principal or teacher in Idaho, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania. In addition, she served in congregational administration.
Funeral services are scheduled for July 6 in Scranton. Interment will be at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the IHM Sisters Retirement Fund, IHM Center, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
