WILMINGTON — Hodgson scored nine first-inning runs on the way to a 15-0 five-inning softball victory over St. Elizabeth on April 18 at Canby Park.

The Silver Eagles sent 13 batters to the plate in the first, scoring nine times. Both Jaime Lewis and Erin McDonough had two-RBI hits in the inning. On the mound, McDonough and Gizzelle Selby combined to throw a no-hitter.

The Silver Eagles (2-4) will play at Dover on Saturday at noon.

St. Elizabeth is rebuilding its softball program after a year with no team. The Vikings have just one senior on the roster, which also includes two eighth-graders and three freshman. St. E’s (0-5) will play Ursuline on April 25 at Midway Softball Complex at 3:45 p.m.
