WILMINGTON — Padua took another step toward the basketball postseason with a 70-45 victory on Feb. 15 at Tower Hill. With the win, the Pandas improved to 15-4.
Padua had a 10-point lead after a quarter, then put the game out of reach with a 28-point outburst in the third. In all nine players scored for Padua.
Abby Grillo led the Pandas with 22 points. She was joined in double figures by Grace Trerotola, who had 16, and Lilianna DiMarco with 11. Padua closes the regular season on Feb. 20 at Caesar Rodney; tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.
For the Hillers, Tessa Mullins had 21, and Hannah Graveline added 12. Tower (6-13) will finish its season Friday at home against Wilmington Friends at 4 p.m.
