Golfers make their way through Deerfield at the July 12 McNesby golf fundraiser for Catholic Youth Ministries of Diocese of Wilmington.

For more than 25 years, men and women around Delaware and along Maryland’s Eastern Shore have been raising money for programs and services benefitting the young people served by Catholic Youth and Young Adult Ministry of Diocese of Wilmington.

Along with supporting the endeavors of the Catholic athletic league, which serves more than 5,000 youth, this event also helps sustain other youth activities, like services projects and a high school youth leadership program. Through the generous contributions of donors, the office of Catholic Youth and Young Adult Ministry is able to continue its mission, a mission fueled by the vision to provide youth and young adults the opportunity to learn the faith, love the faith and live the faith.

The tournament is named after CYM’s longtime director Joe McNesby, who launched the tournament 26 years ago and retired last year. It is CYM’s largest fundraiser.
