Students from Padua Academy’s HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) Program took time out of studying for exams to create handmade fleece blankets as gifts for the residents at nearby Parkview Nursing and Rehab Home.
HOSA is a national student organization that provides “a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, collegiate and adult students enrolled in health science education,” according to its website.
The HOSA Program at Padua connects students with careers in medicine through learning and volunteer efforts.
