Author Michael Foley and Sr. Ann David Strohminger discuss Christmas traditions on the Dec. 9 Catholic Forum

229

We have two special guests on this week’s Catholic Forum.

First, we talk to Michael Foley, the famed author of international bestseller “Drinking with the Saints,” about his book, “Why We Kiss Under the Mistletoe: Christmas Traditions Explained.” In this Christmas must-have book, he explains, celebrates, and gives us a glimpse into all the sometimes macabre and always fascinating nooks and crannies of the holiday.

Then, Sister Ann David Strohminger, OSF, Delegate for Religious for the Diocese of Wilmington, tell us the origins of the most important Christmas tradition; the Christmas Nativity Scene, that was started by St. Francis of Assisi 800 years ago.
