Father Jay McKee, pastor of Good Shepherd parish in Perryville, Md., appointed Marie-Pier Ingraham as the next principal of Good Shepherd Catholic School.
Ingraham has served in Catholic education at Saint Ann School, Wilmington, since 2016 as a teacher, religion coordinator, math specialist and Middle States Accreditation internal coordinator, as well as having served on a number of school committees.
Before her experience at Saint Ann School, Ingraham was a teacher at Providence Creek Academy in Clayton, Del.
Ingraham is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education with a concentration in math. She received her master of science degree in school leadership from Wilmington University and earned a math specialist certification from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She has a state of Delaware continuing license and is certified as a teacher of elementary grades, middle level math and of exceptional children.
“My faith has been strengthened through teaching in a Catholic school and I have prayed immensely in the past years and feel God is calling me to a leadership position,” Ingraham said.
Her appointment is effective July 1.
