Official appointments in the Diocese of Wilmington announced by Bishop Koenig

The Most Rev. William E. Koenig, D.D., Bishop of Wilmington, announces the following:

Concluding Diocesan Ministry
Rev. Manohar Salla of the Diocese of Cuddapah, India, has concluded his service as associate pastor of St. Edmond, Rehoboth Beach, and returned to his diocese for ministry, effective Nov. 1, 2023.

Rev. Idelmo Mego Diaz of the Diocese of Chulucanas, Peru, has concluded his service as associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel, Georgetown, and returned to his diocese for ministry, effective Dec. 18, 2023.

Retirements
Rev. John A. Lunness was granted retirement from parochial ministry and concluded his service as associate pastor of St. Francis de Sales, Salisbury, effective Nov. 30, 2023.

Rev. Krzysztof A. Kopec was granted retirement from parochial ministry and concluded his service as a chaplain in the U.S. Army, effective Dec. 18, 2023.

Deacons
Deacon Francis X. Hesson was appointed assistant director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate, effective Nov. 1, 2023. This is in addition to his appointment to diaconal ministry at St. Christopher, Chester, Md.

Deacon John J. Falkowski, Jr. is appointed from diaconal ministry at St. Catherine of Siena, Wilmington, to diaconal ministry at Corpus Christi, Elsmere, and St. Matthew, Wilmington, effective Jan. 24, 2024.
