Encores can be best and judging by the reaction of the audience watching the New York Tenors, the second time was the charm.

About 700 people shook off the rain and arrived at Saint Mark’s High School Dec. 10 for the “Sights and Sounds of Christmas 2023,” the group’s second Christmas show in as many years in the Diocese of Wilmington.

It was the first appearance at Saint Mark’s with a show benefitting the local Catholic Charities.

Andy Cooney, Daniel Rodriguez and Christopher Macchio brought the crowd to its feet more than once ticking off one Christmas classic after another.

The group performed together and solo for various favorites and were also joined by soprano Arianna Paz.

The show was opened by Christ the Teacher Middle School Choir.

The evening concluded with a meet-and-greet at the high school with the performers and Bishop Koenig.
