A light sports week for high schools in Diocese of Wilmington is prelude to busy Christmas break

The week before Christmas is normally the lightest on the winter sports schedule, and this year is no different. Just a few games dot the week as students take exams or, in some cases, have already begun their holiday break.

The action will pick up between Christmas and New Year’s with tournaments all over Delaware.

Conrad (3-1) at Saint Mark’s (5-1), 6 p.m.

Thursday

Roman Catholic (Pa.) vs. Salesianum (1-2), 8:30 p.m. at the Chase Fieldhouse as part of the Play by Play Classic.

Tuesday

Salesianum (2-0) vs. Father Judge (Pa.), 7:30 p.m. at Carl Sandberg Middle School, Levittown, Pa. (boys only)

Wednesday

Saint Mark’s (boys 0-0, girls 0-1) at Newark (boys 0-1, girls 0-1), 7 p.m.
