Enjoying vacation time is the focus for many of us right now. Here are activities in the diocese to enjoy on your days off, whether at home or the beach. Check out some of them here:

  • July 4th week/weekend is coming soon and if you’re vacationing in one of the beautiful resort areas of the diocese, don’t forget Sunday Mass. To easily find locations and times, go to thedialog.org/our-diocese/2024-diocese-of-wilmington-summer-weekend-mass-guide/
  • It’s great weather for golf. Join the folks from St. Margaret of Scotland Parish on June 24 for their annual golf tournament in memory of Tony Francia at Patriots Glen Golf Club in Elkton. The cost for the day is $150 per person. Putting contest starts at 11 a.m. with the scramble/shotgun start at noon. Lunch and dinner will be provided along with specialty contests and refreshments on the course.   • And the folks from St. Polycarp will hold their annual Golf Tournament and Dinner on June 30 at Garrison Lake Golf Club in Smyrna. Cost is $130 per individual golfer, includes lunch, green fee, golf cart, on-course beverages including beer, complimentary gift bags, prizes for best teams, long drive/closest to the pin, followed by dinner.   • On the spiritual side, all are invited to celebrate Our Lady Queen of Peace on June 23 at 3 p.m. at St. Hedwig Church, Wilmington. Devotions start with a 3 p.m. Holy Hour, followed by 4 p.m. Mass for the 43rdAnniversary of Our Lady Queen of Peace. There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Rosary, Consecration to Jesus & Mary and Confessions.   • Diners are in for a treat at the Ministry of Caring’s monthly International Night Dinner on June 23 at the Francis X. Norton Center, 917 North Madison Street in Wilmington. Guest chefs will be from Delaware Platinum Group/Capers and Lemons and the menu features Italian fare.
