CLAYMONT – Freshman Teagan Bradley was dominant on the mound as she led the Mount Pleasant Green Knights past the Archmere Auks, 10-0, on March 27. The chilly air didn’t stop the Green Knights’ offense as they pounded out 14 hits.

It started in the first inning, when they scored five runs on four hits to grab a quick 5-0 lead. The inning started with a double by Kylee Balbach, who scored on an RBI single by Sydney Holman. Bradley drove in the fifth run with a single, one of two hits she collected during the game.
The lead was plenty for Bradley as she surrendered only a single to Mackenzie Popp in the first. The Green Knights added another run in the top of the second. Balbach singled and scored on a deep double by Holman. Bradley struck out two batters in a 1-2-3 bottom of the second. Mount scored two more in the third on a two-run double by Balbach.
Bradley continued shutting down the Auks’ offense as she showed poise on the mound as a freshman. The Green Knights (1-0) added two more runs in the sixth to put away the Auks.  They are back on the road on Wednesday at St. Thomas More. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Auks (0-1) are off until April 4, when they visit St. Mark’s for a 4 p.m. start.
