Inspiring, igniting future of philanthropy, seminar focuses on advancement in Diocese of Wilmington Catholic schools

Participants and presenters gathered at the “Inspire and Ignite” Advancement Seminar held June 20 by the Development Office of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington in conjunction with the diocesan Catholic Schools Office at Saint Mark’s High School.

The seminar featured a keynote address by Christopher Polito of CCS Fundraising, “Philanthropic Landscape Overview with an Education Focus.”

Other topics included strategies for recruiting and retaining major donors, growing philanthropy at schools, planning engagement and major gifts by John Mario, organizing and mobilizing boards by Marie Keith, and yearly planning by Savannah Cathers.

The event concluded with a panel Q&A session. Attendees, including advancement professionals, faculty, and administrators from the Diocese of Wilmington, said they gained insights and actionable takeaways.
