The Vision for the Future Sponsorship Program matches donors with students who currently attend a Diocese of Wilmington elementary school. Every year, there are children who are no longer able to remain in a Catholic school simply because tuition expenses have grown beyond their families’ reach. As a sponsor, you will enable hardworking students to pursue their education in an academically competitive, value-oriented environment where prayer, worship, and Gospel virtues are interwoven throughout every school day.

The per-pupil tuition rate varies among the diocese’s fifteen elementary schools; the average per-pupil rate is $6,500. As a sponsor, you can choose to support an elementary school student with an annual contribution of $4,500 to $2,000.

Through the Vision for the Future Education Trust, the Diocese of Wilmington is able to provide tuition assistance to approximately 300 students each year, approximately 30% of the eligible, need-based applicant families. However, due to limited resources, many other worthy students are denied help.

Your sponsorship will be designated to a K-8 student whose family, based on the family’s financial evaluation, qualifies for tuition assistance. Your participation in this special way, will provide an education focused on academic rigor and student achievement in an atmosphere where Jesus Christ is the center of every day. Your investment in Catholic education will make a difference in the life of a Catholic school student, instilling in them the moral values of self-discipline and personal integrity as they prepare to become an intellectual and honorable leader of tomorrow.
