The girls’ Catholic high school sports schedule gets off to a busy start this week before taking the latter part of the week off for the Easter break. If a fan doesn’t mind some chilly weather, there’s a variety from which to choose.

In softball, the St. Elizabeth softball team returns after a one-year hiatus, while Saint Mark’s lacrosse faces a fellow unbeaten. The Spartans’ soccer team will challenge itself against a Division I finalist from last year.

Spring sports are always subject to inclement weather, as was the case this past weekend, so if there’s a chance of rain, check the schedules. And as always, schedules are subject to change.

It’s a young group, with two eighth-graders and three freshmen, and just one senior. DMA is also young, with two seniors and five freshmen.
